What started as an group exercise to enable us communicate away from the screen has bought us full to circle: welcome to our weekly Postcard Club.
During the first week of remote working, we sent each member of the Tonkin Liu team a watercolour postcard book, to get everyone painting and writing to each other - and to connect us away from the screen during this period of social distancing. We set a weekly brief to create within, the first one was a ‘Nature/Woodland’ theme. Each team member chose a different element of the woodland to draw from the perspective of; a bee, a tree or a bat.
During a team discussion about the postcard project, we discovered the fun of the Zoom ‘Green Screen’ feature, and suddenly found we were transported into our own self-created virtual woodland. Experiencing the woodland from different scales, at different heights and places. And so, we spent the afternoon 'in nature' together, and collectively we were the woodland.
