Tonkin Liu at London Design Festival

We are one of five winning entries in the Carved in Stone installation currently on display this week at the Cosentino showroom, as part of London Design Festival 2019. The ‘Giant Phytoplankton Puzzle’ celebrates the wonder of ancient carved ivory puzzle balls and cutting edge natural science. Carved from Macael Marble, the sculpture comprises layered Emiliania huxleyi phytoplankton, scaled up 1000 times and mapped onto the geometry of a Rotunda-drilled Truncated Icosiedodecahedron.
